I created the site Toronto Tomes, a blog dedicated to exploring what people are reading all across Toronto. I profile books spotted on public transit, in parks, in restaurants, or anywhere else in the city. If someone is spotted reading “in the wild”, I’ll post about whatever title they’re reading, no exceptions.
This project was inspired by the blog Between The Lines, and the site Humans of New York. In the future, I hope to be able to talk to these readers, ask them questions about their chosen title, and add photographs of the individual in their reading habitat of choice.
The blog is on a hiatus right now, since I’m living outside the city, but I hope to go back to it in some incarnation soon.
